Much of Tankopia's history is still unknown, but it was founded as a safe haven for engines during the diesel invasion, mainly tank engines. At some point, Tankopian Railways was founded.
089 was sent to work on the island after he was built. Until one day, he was kicked off of the railway for misbehaving with Chance, & Brad. Which then because of his disrupting behaviour, 089 was chased away by Goliath & fled the island using Frank the rail-barge.
