Season 4, subtitled Resiliency, is the fourth season of Quest 89.
Plot Synopsis[]
Following the events of The Road to Sodor, Connor and his friends are scattered. 089 is lost at sea with his new nemesis, Timothy , who may have a deeper connection to him, Connor and Ivo Hugh wash ashore on a strange but familiar island, and Lady is headed back to Sodor to assess the damage dealt by Professor's Gang. Everyone is unsure of what their next step will be and some have trouble keeping their cool, especially Ivo, who isn't sure how much more he can take. Relationships will be put to the test as bonds will be strengthened and shattered like the rails our heroes travel on. And in the end, secrets will be revealed as recent conflicts finally come to a close, and old ones are addressed.

- 089 gains an eye patch after his recent injuries.
- Timothy tells 089 his backstory and considers another path after being persuaded by Zero to start over.
- Much of the North Western Railway is struck with immense grief following Thomas' death.
- Lady befriends Reg and begins to open up and stop holding herself back.

- The original title card was made by Duck 'N' Duncan, but Nick remade it himself later.
- Nick originally confirmed that this season would have 30 episodes, unlike the prior three seasons. However, the season has now been restructured. Season 4 will be a 10 episode season and the remaining 20 episodes will of the original cut will make up Season 5 and Season 6 respectively. The original 13 episode Season 5 is now Season 7, the final season.
- Nick has also confirmed that Ivo Hugh will be a big focus of this season.
- The season has been in the writing stage since September 2016, although some footage was filmed in the summer before this
- Season 4 has been in production since fall 2016. Episodes are being written by Nick, but some are being co-written with OlivertheJams. The latter has also been helping to write for the new characters as well.
