Donald and Douglas are Scottish twin engines.
History
Donald and Douglas came to Sodor many years ago. Sir Topham Hatt considered sending them away after Donald crashed into a signalbox and Douglas destroyed a brakevan, but the twins proved themselves after clearing the snow during a blizzard and were allowed to stay.
Season 2
Battle of the Brave Brothers
Donald and Douglas were captured by the Diesel Army, but were saved by the 08S and eventually returned to Sodor.
Season 3
Man in the Shadows
The twins were seen at Knapford Station when Thomas arrived.
Stress
The twins attended a meeting at Knapford Station.
Chase and Point
Donald was collecting ballast from Bert at Arlesburgh West when Derek arrived. Donald was surprised to see him, but the reunion was cut short by Sidney, who crashed into Donald's train. Derek then took Donald's train since the latter was involved in an accident.
Donald and Douglas were later seen at Tidmouth Sheds.
The Ones Who Know
The twins were gathered at Tidmouth Sheds with several other engines following Thomas' death. Douglas asks is everyone had heard the news, but Duck interrupted him. Douglas later bluntly told Flying Scotsman and the others that Thomas was gone.

Personas
Donald and Douglas are practical, peppery, and proud twins who hail from Scotland. They enjoy practical jokes and are very witty, and have even impersonated each other in the past, which helped them get to Sodor in the first place. Both twins are level-minded and hard working, but can often argue with each other. The twins hate to be apart for long though, and will often make up rather quickly.
